like to host a seminar. Due to the increase in demand for weekend seminars, the following information is provided to guarantee the success of your event. A properly promoted, successful event at your school will enhance your reputation as a leader and rejuvenate the motivation level of your students. The list below gives you the cost of different events and possible topics to choose from. The host can receive private training before or after the seminar with arrangements made in advance. All expenses (travel, accommodations and meals) must be provided by
host/sponsor.
If the topic requires an assistant, travel, accommodations and meals must
be provided for the assistant by the host/sponsor.
Photography is permitted in all seminars. Sorry NO videotaping allowed.
Certificates of training are issued to all participants.
Rank Testing is available, but must be arranged for in advance.
To insure your success, we suggest scheduling six months in advance to
allow for proper advertising.
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your seminar date.
There is a $500 cancellation fee for any scheduled seminar.
The following guidelines present ideas to consider when preparing for your
seminar. When you are ready to host a seminar by Grand Master Richard
Hackworth, submit a seminar request form and your event deposit of $500.
BEFORE THE EVENT
1. Schedule the event on a weekend that does not include a major religious
holiday.
2. Display a poster in your school by the door and on the wall in your
training area and changing rooms. Send a copy to all local schools and call
the instructors personally and invite them to the event and invite them to
bring students. Post the flyer on store bulletin boards at local colleges
and universities.
3. Mail the press release and bio provided by Grand Master Hackworth to your
local newspapers and TV stations. Invite your local news to come to the
seminar as a community event.
4. Announce the event in your school newsletter the month of the event and
the three month's prior. (Don't have a school newsletter? This is
a great time to start one!)
5. Give each student a flyer and registration form to start
pre-registrations.
6. Make arrangements with Grand Richard Master Hackworth to have the event listed in
martial arts magazines.
7. Announce the upcoming seminar at the end of each class and encourage
pre-registration at a discounted price for students.
AFTER THE EVENT
1. Have a photo session for group and individual pictures.
2. Invite each of the participants to a social event following the seminar.
This can range in magnitude from a short party at your school to dinner at a
local restaurant. (Participants pay for their own dinner).
3. Mail participants a Thank You Card for their support and participation.
4. Mail Press Release and photo provided by Grand Richard Master Hackworth to local
newspapers and national martial arts magazines.
5. Write about the event and what was taught in your next newsletter and
talk about it in class the following week. All of these things will help
motivate participants to attend other future special events at your school.
